We want our baby to arrive soon, just not today

Today would be a strange day for a birthday being Leap Year and all. I don’t think I know too many people with this birthday. But man, it must be strange to be born on Leap Year, er, Leap Day. Whatever you call it.

My wife and I were talking about this. While the issue isn’t as critical when it comes to birthdays (since you can just celebrate yesterday or tomorrow), we figured there is bound to be issues with red tape in life.

Born on Leap Day
This elderly woman born on Feb. 29, 1920 celebrates her 25th birthday.

By red tape, I mean registering for just about anything. Are today’s computers smart enough to do the math to know you’re 16 and not 4? Don’t judge, had to think about the math I just did.

I just think there are bound to be challenges if you were born on February 29th. Maybe I’m wrong. Regardless, I want our baby born soon…just not today if at all possible. If you were born on February 29th and can argue you had a perfect life, please let me know in the comments. It’s quite fascinating.

Happy Leap Year.
